Moon Landing
March 26 - April 21, 2026
Exhibition Reception, Friday, April 3, 2026, 5-7 pm
The night sky feels intimately familiar, with the same moon, stars, and planets returning in predictable cycles. And yet there is scarcely anything more inaccessible and unimaginable in the universe than the very Moon and stars we gaze at every night. Only twelve humans have set foot on the surface of the Moon, during a brief three-and-a-half year period, and travel beyond our solar system remains limited to science fiction stories. Despite being earthbound, we are drawn to gaze at the stars and wonder what lies on impossible shores.
Moon Landing is a presentation of printed works taking inspiration from the night sky, the Moon, the stars, space travel, dark nights of the soul, and landings on distant shores. The works featured in Moon Landing include editions from the LeRoy Neiman Center for Print Studies archive, together with new prints from LeRoy Neiman Center for Print Studies staff and fellows, created for the exhibition.
